The South Australian Whale Centre Education Service offers a range of programs and activities for school and community groups in a unique marine experience.

• Education programs hosted at the SA Whale Centre
• Classroom hire
• Guided tours
• Mobile ‘whales on wheels’ programs at a venue of your choice
• Whale & Marine Boat tours
• Supplementary lesson plans and fact sheets.

All programs are delivered in a purpose built classroom, the “Southern Right Room”, which caters for large groups in a private, safe, and secure learning environment.

Education programs run for a duration of 45mins – 1hr and are divided into year levels based on the level of knowledge required by participants. Each program is themed to compliment the South Australian Whale Centre’s Whale Education Pack – a comprehensive tool for teachers which includes a Whale themed Unit of Work incorporating a ten week program of Science activities.


Education Services are open from 10.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday and on weekends, by request.

SA Whale Centre Education Officers are widely experienced in teaching Junior Primary, Primary and Secondary students as well as tourism and environmental education.
