Sea Shepherd Captain speaks at the SA Whale Centre

International conservationist and Sea Shepherd Captain, Peter Hammarstedt, speaks at the SA Whale Centre on 18 November 2014.

The event, which marked the official launch of the Centre’s Sea Shepherd exhibit, was a chance for all to hear the experiences of the passionate Sea Shepherd Captain.

“We are thrilled to welcome Peter back to the SA Whale Centre for the opening of our new Sea Shepherd Exhibit,” said Leah Pippos, then Coordinator of the SA Whale Centre .

In addition to his accomplishments as Captain of Sea Shepherd Ship, Bob Barker, Peter was named the Bob Brown’s Foundation’s Young Environmentalist of the Year for his part in saving the lives of hundreds of whales and his commitment to protecting marine life.

Today Sea Shepherd continues to visit the SA Whale Centre each school Holidays providing the public with free talks and information on their most up to date campaigns.
