Sea Shepherd Captain to speak at the SA Whale Centre

International conservationist and Sea Shepherd Captain, Peter Hammarstedt, is coming back to Victor Harbor as a guest speaker at the SA Whale Centre on 18 November 2014.

The event, which marks the official launch of the Centre’s new Sea Shepherd exhibit, is a chance to hear first hand the experiences of the passionate Sea Shepherd Captain.

“We are thrilled to welcome Peter back to the SA Whale Centre for the opening of our new Sea Shepherd Exhibit,” said Leah Pippos, SA Whale Centre Coordinator.

“Peter is a great supporter of our Centre and we are really looking forward to hearing about his adventures since he was here last November.”

In addition to his accomplishments as Captain of Sea Shepherd Ship, Bob Barker, Peter was recently named the Bob Brown’s Foundation’s Young Environmentalist of the Year for his part in saving the lives of hundreds of whales and his commitment to protecting marine life.

The event starts at 3.30pm and normal entry fees for the SA Whale Centre will apply (Adults – $9, Concession – $6.50 Children from 4 to 15 years – $4.50, Children under 4 – Free).
