MY Steve Irwin Exhibit

Sea Shepherd Australia in partnership with the SA Whale Centre is pleased to present the worlds only “MY Steve Irwin Replica Exhibit”. This interactive exhibit resides in the SA Whale Centre.

We invite you all to come and experience life on the Sea Shepherd’s flagship vessel. Enjoy the interactive bridge, featuring a 3 paneled media display full of short clips about life on board a Sea Shepherd vessel, Campaigns they are running and the dangers our marine life and oceans face today.

The walls are lined with real Sea Shepherd memorabilia and stories about their past and present operations. Peer out of the port holes, see the tiny bunks where the crew sleep, and steer the ships giant wheel.

What is Sea Shepherd?

Sea Shepherd Australia is a non-profit conservation organisation, whose mission is to end the destruction of habitat and slaughter of wildlife in the world’s oceans, in order to conserve and protect ecosystems and species.

Sea Shepherd Australia uses innovative direct-action tactics to investigate, document and take action when necessary. Exposing and confronting illegal activities on the high seas and safeguarding the biodiversity of our delicately balanced oceanic ecosystems.

Sea Shepherd Australia works to ensure their survival for generations to come.

Exhibit Guided Tours

Sea Shepherd’s Adelaide Chapter run guided tours throughout the Steve Irwin Exhibit each School Holidays. Each tour has a different focus from marine debris to current campaigns.  For the duration of these talks, volunteers also run a pop up shop out the front of the Whale Centre, where members of the public can ask questions, share stories and purchase Sea Shepherd merchandise to help fund their many important marine campaigns.
